The first record of Ms. Pococks Lodgings appeared in Gilmore’s Map in 1694 and while The Grapes has experienced something of a potted history since, the building has welcomed many prominent visitors to Bath over the centuries.
Originally built for the wealthy to take the nearby Waters of Sulis, today our recently refurbished upper floors are home to our family with the best rooms kept for guests and the name Pococks Lodgings used once more.
Sleeping up to 6 people in two rooms, you are welcome to book through us with a 5% discount or through Airbnb using the link to the right. The rooms are arranged on two floors at the front of the building, as they are the largest we have. The second floor bedroom has a Kingsize bed and the Third floor bedroom has two single beds with the option of a double sofa bed for additional guests. The luxury shower room is also on the third floor and you will have this to yourself throughout your stay as we only book one group of guests at a time regardless of whether you take one room or two.
Due to the listed status of the Elizabethan building, there is no lift, so visitors will need to be able to climb the stairs to get to the accommodation. Noise from the pub is negligible as we have soundproofed between each floor, though being in a town centre location you may sometimes get disturbance from the street.
