The building at 14 Westgate Street has been welcoming people to Bath since 1694, when it appeared on Gilmore’s Map as Ms. Pocock’s Lodgings. It became a public house in 1792, was nearly a fried chicken shop, and reopened in August 2019 under the current ownership.
Today it operates as an independent freehouse with live music five or more nights a week, grain-to-glass spirits behind the bar, and guest rooms upstairs under the original name, Pococks Lodgings.
We do not take bookings. We do love dogs.
