From the moment we set eyes on The Grapes, we knew music had to be at the heart of everything.
Now with midweek jazz, blues and trad folk sessions and a whole lot more, the occasional Friday night belter,
vinyl DJs on Saturdays and live acts on lazy Sunday afternoons we’ve done just that.
By day, you’ll often find the bartenders spinning vinyl along with your drinks. By night….well it can get a bit lively!

Head to Pocock’s Living Room above the bar and you’ll step into a quieter corner of The Grapes,
a Jacobean space, not an extension of the bar, with a rhythm all its own.
With its original 1612 ornate plaster ceiling and tall Georgian windows, it’s a room that holds its history well.
Ideal for intimate gatherings, photo shoots, low-key rehearsals or private dinners with character.
Used throughout the week for life drawing, community get-togethers, creative meetings,
and the now infamous monthly skiffle practice, it’s not a place for anything too lively,
but if your event has heart and a little soul, we’d love to hear more.
