Shady Broken Locals | A Community Allotment Project in Bath

The seeds of an idea For the last four years, tucked away at Roots Allotments in Newbridge, there’s been a large allotment site quietly paid for and supported by The Grapes. Not because we particularly needed an allotment the size of a small village, but because during lockdown it became very obvious just how many people were […]

Twixmas at The Grapes Bath & Local Legends Live New Year’s Eve

There’s something about the days between Christmas and New Year that invites a pause.
The city keeps moving, visitors keep arriving, but it’s all very cosy and snuggly at this time of year with folks wearing their new hats and scarves and catching up with friends and relatives that affords us at the pub a bit of time to take stock — of the year just gone, the lessons learned, and the things quietly lining up for the year ahead (of which, as ever, there are quite a few).
At The Grapes, Twixmas is exactly that: a warm, familiar pub in the heart of Bath, open as normal, doing what it does best while the rest of the city catches its breath.

Clear Head Zero Alcohol IPA: Big on Flavour, Great Cause

Packing a punch with bold U.S. hops like Citra and Mosaic and thanks to a smooth blend of oats, barley, and wheat, plus a hint of lactose, this rich body of full-strength beer is a welcome addition to our taps.
A history of the pub with Kirsten Elliott
As part of National Heritage Open Day, local historian and author of the Lost Pubs of Bath Kirsten Elliott came and gave a talk up in Pococks Living Room. The event was completely packed out and since, we have had a lot of people saying they wished they had been able to come along, so […]
