The Zephyrian Clarinets return to the Bath Fringe Festival with Zephyrets — a lively, genre-spanning performance that promises to charm, move, and energise audiences in the cosy, atmospheric setting of Pocock’s Living Room at The Grapes, and the historic Walcot Chapel.
This year's programme is a vibrant mix: from the syncopated swing of Scott Joplin, to the iconic pop brilliance of ABBA, and the beautifully expressive works of Clare Grundman and other hidden gems. Each piece is accompanied by brief introductions, making the music accessible, educational, and fun — whether you’re a music aficionado or just curious.
Following a packed house and glowing audience feedback last year — including a joyful singalong and the word "wonderful" heard more than once — the Zephyrets are back to do it all again. Expect toe-tapping rhythms, heartfelt melodies, and a celebration of the clarinet’s unique voice in styles both familiar and surprising.
Whether you're into classical, jazz, pop, or just great live performance, this is an evening that promises warmth, wit, and musical joy.
