There’s something about the days between Christmas and New Year that invites a pause.
The city keeps moving, visitors keep arriving, but it’s all very cosy and snuggly at this time of year with folks wearing their new hats and scarves and catching up with friends and relatives that affords us at the pub a bit of time to take stock — of the year just gone, the lessons learned, and the things quietly lining up for the year ahead (of which, as ever, there are quite a few).
At The Grapes, Twixmas is exactly that: a warm, familiar pub in the heart of Bath, open as normal, doing what it does best while the rest of the city catches its breath.

Think again. Bath Skiffle are rolling into the bar to deliver gospel, groove, and some festive numbers you definitely won’t have heard in church. It’s soulful, it’s swingy, it’s not “Silent Night.”
