Where UK sound-system culture meets the folk music of the British Isles, multi-instrumentalist Kris Pierssene takes traditional melodies and conscious vocals, throws them over bass-heavy dub rhythms, and creates something that belongs as much on the dancefloor as in the folk session.
Now expanded into a collective featuring members of Ushti Baba, Swingletree, and local traditional musicians, expect live violin, electric mandolin, melodica, and accordion weaving through the mix.
Kris brings serious festival pedigree as guitarist for RSVP Bhangra, with over 150 Glastonbury appearances and stages at Womad and Boomtown. His latest album 'Trade's End' captures the unique sound he's been developing since his early recordings made on solar power aboard his narrowboat.
