Twixmas at The Grapes Bath & Local Legends Live New Year’s Eve

There’s something about the days between Christmas and New Year that invites a pause.
The city keeps moving, visitors keep arriving, but it’s all very cosy and snuggly at this time of year with folks wearing their new hats and scarves and catching up with friends and relatives that affords us at the pub a bit of time to take stock — of the year just gone, the lessons learned, and the things quietly lining up for the year ahead (of which, as ever, there are quite a few).
At The Grapes, Twixmas is exactly that: a warm, familiar pub in the heart of Bath, open as normal, doing what it does best while the rest of the city catches its breath.
Local Legends Live: New Year’s Eve at The Grapes
Open until 4am
When it is time to celebrate, we’re doing it the only way we know how — with people we love, live music, and a dancefloor full of familiar faces.
Our Local Legends Live New Year’s Eve kicks off early and runs late
Glühwein, Mulled Old Fashioneds and a Skiffle Sundays

Christmas Market madness meets Grapes calm. Warm your mitts with Glühwein, Mulled Old Fashioneds, and German sausages from our festive stall — plus, don’t miss Bath Skiffle’s soulful Christmas bash on Dec 21st. Think you know Christmas carols? Think again. Bath Skiffle are rolling into the bar to deliver gospel, groove, and some festive numbers you definitely won’t have heard in church. It’s soulful, it’s swingy, it’s not “Silent Night.”
One for The Grapes: A Musical Tribute to Our Historic Bath Pub

Grapes regulars and monthly residency, Matt Owens and The Delusional Vanity Project have released One for the Grapes, the first track in their new album, recognised by Americana UK as one of their Top 20 videos of 2023.
International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day has a special place in my heart. Last celebrated in the bar as far back as 2020, we had a phenomenal time with performers, poetry, live music and even a belly dancing workshop, that the whole pub seem to take part in and enjoy.
As ever, International Women’s Day is taking place this year on March 8, which being a Tuesday isn’t the most obvious time to hold a celebration, so we shall be doing it all over again with bells on, in the days leading up to the event.
Independent Venue Week at The Grapes
We’re really proud of our links with the Bath music industry and supporting the arts each week through our weekly sessions, impromptu gigs and playing DJ’s on Saturday’s. To celebrate this, we thought we would like to take part in Independent Venue Week, though to truly be a part, you have to charge entry […]
